Steve Whittle

Steve Whittle

Licensed Contractor

The owner of Waterford Homes Inc., Steve Whittle, began building over 40 years ago. While in high school, he assisted a neighbor in building a lake house in southern New Hampshire. He continued working as a carpenter through college and gained experience restoring 250+ year old houses in New England. After graduating, Steve continued in the field with a focus on "post and beam" houses, from assembly to finish. He worked for 7 years in New Hampshire improving his craft.

Steve moved to Fort Collins in the spring of 1990 to start a woodshop that manufactured educational toys. After 5 years, the economy unfortunately favored overseas production, and Steve returned to the construction industry. After 2 years as a superintendent/project manager, and the construction of countless homes later, Steve founded Waterford Homes Inc. in 1997. Since that time, Steve has devoted himself to remodeling, basement finishes, and custom home building in and around Loveland, Berthoud, and Windsor, CO In many ways, remodeling presents more challenge and creativity which is what "I truly enjoy".

Ellen Williams

Ellen Williams

Occupational Therapist

The co-owner of Waterford Homes Inc., Ellen Williams, has been an integral part of Waterford's success. Ellen's background, although different from Steve's in many ways, compliments his, and adds depth to the company. Ellen's career has been that of an occupational therapist. Her continued training, multiple degrees, and years of experience in home settings affords her a level of expertise not often found in a construction/remodeling company. Her ability to look at homeowner needs and make specific recommendations is invaluable. Ellen can not only teach specific skills to the aging or injured, but can recommend remodeling concepts to keep people in their homes with often time simple and inexpensive solutions.
